Veterinary Research - a Journal on Animal Infection

Veterinary Research began its life in 1993. Previous to this date, it was published under the title of Annales de Recherches Vétérinaires which was created in 1970. Until 1972, all articles appeared exclusively in French with only the abstracts in English. Articles published in English appear from 1973 on and their number (and percentage) gradually increased to reach 100% in 2003.
The journal was edited by INRA Editions until 1989. In 1989, it started being published by Elsevier and from 2000 on, the journal is published by EDP Sciences.

Veterinary Research publishes original and review articles focusing on Animal Infection and Epidemiology. Food animals, companion animals, equines, wild animals (if the infections are of zoonotic interest and/or in relation with domestic animals), laboratory animals and animal models of human infection are considered. The areas of interest are bacteriology, parasitology, virology, immunology and epidemiology. Studies on zoonotic and emerging infections are especially welcome. For more information, please consult the Aims and scope.
Veterinary Research is in favour of a broad and easy access to all published scientific information. It offers to authors the possibility, for a basic fee, of making their papers freely available to all interested readers as soon as they are online. All articles are accessible free of charge after 12 months.
